Set where materials go by default, per department
New · Orders
Company settings has a new Department default locations section. For each department, set the default receiving, staging, output and ship-from locations, and a fallback location for everything else. A user can still select a different location for a single transaction; that never changes these defaults.
A Location rules section sets the priority order each transaction type uses to find a location when none is selected: receiving, material usage, production output, pick lists and outbound deliveries. Raise or lower a rule, stop using it, or add one that isn't used yet. For example, a part can go to its own default location before the stage's location, or to wherever the order's other parts went. Until you change it, each type uses a default order. Receive mode and the pick screen show the location these rules choose, so what you see is where the material goes.
Every department now has a fallback location. If you don't set one, it's the department's first top-level location, as the Locations page lists them, skipping staging and in-transit spots, so recording usage or produced parts no longer fails because a material has no default location. Stock drawn from there without any on hand shows as negative until it's counted or received, which makes it easy to find.
When nobody picks a location, materials are now drawn from the location with the most stock, not the first one alphabetically, and never from another staging or in-transit spot. An emptied staging spot no longer hides stock on the shelf. Material that sits at the stage's own location is used first.
New inbound deliveries start at the department's default receiving location, new outbound deliveries start from its default ship-from location, and new pick lists start with its default staging location.
Restore what was archived on a route
New · Routes
Routes now have an Archived tab, next to Documents. It lists every phase, component, stage and step archived on that route, under the item it belonged to, with when it was archived and by whom. The tab shows a count whenever anything on the route is archived.
Click Restore on a row to put it back on the Whiteboard, along with its links to the stages still on the route. To bring back several at once, tick them and restore them together. Restoring something inside an archived component or phase brings that component or phase back too.
Whole routes that were archived are still restored from Archived in Settings.
Change a field on many rows at once
New · Planning · Settings
If you can edit orders, Planning now has a checkbox on every row. Tick the ones you want and a bar appears at the bottom of the screen: Edit field changes one field across all of them, and Archive archives the lot. Shift-click to take everything between two rows, and the checkbox in the header takes every row the list shows. One change covers up to 1,000 rows.
Pick the field, pick the value with the same picker you use in the order drawer, and the preview updates as you go: how many rows change, how many are left alone and why (already set to that value, not something you have permission to edit, or a field that does not apply to that kind of row), and the old and new value side by side for the first 20 rows, by name. Nothing is written until you confirm.
Fields you can change: project, route, tags, assigned people, cost code, due date, scheduled start, scheduled end, cycle time and duration. Dates can be set or moved by a number of days, each row from its own date. Tags and assigned people can be added or removed without disturbing what a row already has. Moving a scheduled date moves the whole schedule, so durations and dependencies stay intact.
Archive is its own button with its own confirmation. It shows how many rows will be archived and which are skipped before you confirm. The Projects list has the same checkboxes and Archive. Once you tick a project there, the bar offers Select all matching, which takes every project your search and filters match rather than only the ones loaded on screen, up to 5,000 at once. The Orders, Projects and Routes tabs of the bin Restore a whole selection the same way.
Large edits keep running after you confirm. A card in the corner counts the rows off as they go. Leave the page or reload the tab and the work carries on.
When it finishes, a notification says what changed and how many rows it reached. If an edit stops before it finishes, the notification says it failed, and the rows it had already reached keep their change. Settings > System Log keeps a full entry for every bulk edit: who asked, what changed, and every row that was skipped or failed, by name. If you have access to the System Log, clicking the notification opens that entry. There is an email for it under Background tasks in your notification settings.
Read each calendar day without hovering
Improved · Planning · Delivery
On the Calendar view in Planning and Logistics, the name of an item that starts and finishes on the same day now starts at the beginning of the day and runs across it, instead of being squeezed into the part of the day after its time. In Logistics, a delivery booked for part of a day is drawn across the whole day, so the day's deliveries read as a list in time order.
Within a day, items are listed by the time they're planned for, then by due date, then by name. On a busy day, the same order decides which items show first before the rest are folded into the count at the bottom of the day.
Items that run over several days are drawn across their dates as before.
Find and fold teams on the Plan board
Improved · Build
The Teams tab on the Plan board now has a search box and a sort. Search for a team, or for anyone on one, and the board shows only the teams that match. Sort by name either way, by Most people or Least people to spot the teams that need hands, or by age, with Latest first finding a team you just added.
Each team can be folded into a narrow strip that keeps its name and head count, and Collapse all folds every team at once, so a department with many teams fits on one screen. You can still drag people onto a folded team. The board remembers which teams you folded and how you sorted them.
Large order files import in the background
Maintenance · Planning
Import Orders in Planning now checks your file as soon as you upload it, then brings the rows in while you carry on working. A file where many rows apply a route, each building its whole route underneath it, now imports in full instead of ending in an error.
The check is the same one you know. If a route or parent can't be found, the import window lists every problem by row and column, and a route change on rows that already have materials still asks before anything is imported.
Once the file checks out, the window closes and a card in the corner counts the rows off. The Planning table refreshes when they are in. When it finishes, a notification says how many rows were imported. If something changed between the check and the import, it says nothing was imported and which row to look at. A file is always imported whole or not at all.
Check in/out and the day drawer agree on overlapping sessions
Maintenance · Timesheets
Check in/out now checks Overlapping sessions at the same minute precision as the day drawer. Before this, sessions that ended and started in the same minute could flag the day even though the drawer showed no overlap and there was nothing to fix.
Calendar names read clearly in dark mode
Maintenance · Planning · Delivery
In dark mode, the names on the Calendar view in Planning and Logistics now sit on the same dark surface as the rest of the calendar, so they read as clearly as they do in light mode. Before, a name could show as light text on a white strip.
Days from the month before or after are shaded for dark mode too. Light mode looks the same as before.
